-my name is alyssa chamaine..
-i am twenty years old
-i love my shitzu, marty. he's always brightening up my day because well, he's always happy
-i believe everyone should have the right to be an individual, & people who copy, don't know who they are
-music, the best invention ever!
-sometimes i'll sit there with a blank piece of paper in front of me. thoughts ,words, & ideas jump through my head like cicadas. i love the whole process..from turning these fragments into something to revision to revision yet again. i'm always trying to improve myself and my work..which is hard to do. (i'm a perfectionist, at least where my poetry is concerned)

these are my only hobbies worth mentioning..

-->-->--> i have 90+ favorites & they all are excellent writers. check them out n' if you haven't seen their work, you definitely should check them out. i told you i loved poetry <--<--<--

~i just write and whatever comes, comes..

~All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king."
All that is gold does not glitter"
-J.R. Tolkien

!well, wouldn't it be nice
if i could touch your body
i know not everybody
has got a body like you!

-falling is easy, it's getting back up that becomes the problem-

~Breathe it in and breathe it out
and pass it on, it's almost out
We're so creative and so much more
We're high above, but on the floor
It's not a habit, it's cool
I feel alive
If you don't have it your on
the other side

"Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening"

Whose woods these are I think I know,
His house is in the village though.
He will not see me stopping here,
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer,
To stop without a farmhouse near,
Between the woods and frozen lake,
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake,
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep,
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

-- Robert Frost

"i've been changing but you'll never see me now...
now i'm blaming you for everything..
no more holding it in,
how many years can i pretend?
and nothing ever goes the way it should
no more sitting in this place
hoping you might see it my way
cuz i don't think you ever understood
that what i'm looking for is the answers
to why these questions never go away..."
*Crossfade* "Colors"

"What I Am"
by Edie Brickell and New Bohemians

I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box
Religion is the smile on a dog
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah

Shove me in the shallow waters
Before I get too deep

What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or

Oh, I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks
Religion is a light in the fog
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah

Shove me in the shallow water
Before I get too deep

-say hello to the shrinking in your head..
*A Perfect Circle* "The Nurse Who Loved Me"

-you seem so out of context
in this gaudy apartment complex
a stranger with your doorkey
explaining that i'm just visiting
& i am finally seeing why was
the one worth leaving
i was the one worth leaving...
*The Postal Service* "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight"

-started out with a kiss
how it end up like this
it was only a kiss
it was only a kiss..
*The Killers* "Mr. Brightside"

-i'm drunk off your kiss.
for another lonely night
this is becoming too routine for me..
but i didn't mean to lead you on.

& it's alright to pretend
that we still talk.
it's just for show, isn't it?
it's my fault that it fell apart.

just maybe you need this
n' i didn't mean to lead you on.

& you were everything i wanted
but i just can't finished what i started.
there's no room left here on my back,
it was damaged long ago.

though you swear that you are true,
i'd still pick my friends over you..
*New Found Glory* "My Friend's Over You"
