I believe there is beauty in so many things out there. Sadly that beauty gets overlooked or taken for granted. I choose to breathe in every little bit whenever possible even when I am at work. There my mind wanders outside the walls.
I would consider myself a content person for the most part but I still see the reality of sadness in this world so I try to do my best to offer my hand and heart if possible.
I've come to appreciate elderly people more as year goes by. They sometimes present a wisdom easily overlooked in today's society. I think there can be beauty in one's wrinkles. I love to see an older couple who still holds hands.
I love animals and nature.
I love the idea of love although i have been through heartache. I have not lived without making my own mistakes but sometimes that is the only way to learn.
I absolutely love music and of course writing poetry... my quiet ways of expressing myself. I can get lost in writing and listening to music.
I am so incredibly thankful for the person I met in July 2008. I love him very much.
I hope one day to figure a way to permanently spend each day together. The distance is hard but our love transcends the lengthy separations. I can't fathom life without him now. Neither of us want to believe in fate but we both keep saying there is a reason we met. I hope that we are that older couple holding hands. in the meantime we have now.
Please feel free to read my poems. Any comments are appreciated.

JT Sammer on November 13An old man once walked up to me on veteran's day, he shook my hand and saluted me. He said, "young man, you have the eyes of an old man. I encourage you to find your youth, do not let the ghosts of war pull you down." In turn I totally turned my life around after a rough time. I became a hippie and created a philosophy for myself and now I am trying to live it.
thank you for your comment I will return the favor and delve into your poetry!
Peace & Love

Pretending-to-Exist on October 7Thank you.
I've actually been told a few times that I'm an adult in a teenager's body. It's probably the result of reading anything I could get my hands on ever since I knew how. Haha. And I think your ideas about life are wonderful. It takes a person with a great amount of insight to think the way you do. Cheers.
