My name is Eli, in many fonts that name is taller than it is wide.
I am a high school student... which says everything and nothing about me so I will continue... I tend to get pretty good grades, I play tennis, three instruments and I'm a scientist at heart.
That being said, I enjoy literature as one way of just getting away from it all. I dislike works of fiction that are too grounded in reality and as far as prose goes (that was unintentional) my writing tends to be highly satirical and sarcastic. If you want to write just about the cruel hard facts of life, just go live them.
Poetry is a different matter: it has the ability to capture and romanticize any aspect of life in whatever fanciful manner the author wishes. I am generally serious in poetry.
While I am loath to say that I am religious, I'm not averse to the theory of creationism in that some higher being could have set the universe into motion with the laws we now enjoy. My only quarrel with the fact is that some people seem to thing that life can still be influenced by these higher powers; your life is influenced by YOU and those around you, I respect that some may disagree.
I like to think of myself as a deep, happy, and kinda crazy guy.

The worst thing you can do is to presume.
Animals at a zoo do not feel trapped, they have everything they are programmed to want in life.
The perfect life, in my opinion, would involve learning (not inherently knowing) and experiencing EVERYTHING.
Religion is just a way for people to put a name to their shared beliefs and should not be imposed on those who wish no name for their beliefs.
Descartes once said "I think, therefore I am"
I take this to mean you better keep thinking or you will cease to exist
What is fate? Fate is the predetermined series of events which nobody knows and nobody can change, giving the illusion of choice and free will. I know this because all things are based at an atomic level upon the laws of physics which have never and will never change. When the first thing happened everything else was set and the Rube Goldberg machine set to work.
The greatest of joys is to express and be heard.
The hardest of things is to let someone you care about be wrong when correction is not welcome.
The best way to save face is to admit defeat when it happens but NOT TILL THEN.

The best way to break someone is to eliminate all choice.
Happiness derives from the ability to express and be heard:
If anything here has made you think carefully about your own thoughts, you just made my day.
