HAPPY THE MAN by John Dryden (1631–1700) Happy the man, and happy he alone, He who can call today his own: He who, secure within, can say, Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today. Be fair or foul or rain or shine, The joys I have possessed, in spite of fate, are mine. Not heaven itself upon the past has power, But what has been, has been, and I have had my hour.

"An intellectual is a man who says a simple thing in a difficult way; an artist is a man who says a difficult thing in a simple way." - Charles Bukowski

Why is this author great, the testimonial page asks? Well, mostly it's because she donated a hug to my quest to take over the world. But it also has something to do with the fact that, once we're all completely decomposed and whatnot, people are gonna be studying her poetry in classrooms. She's that fabulous!
