My name is Karen and most of my poetry is inspired by my daily walks with my dog Wilf. Some ideas wake me in the night, some come from the fab poetry on the site.
I am an optimistic person who has regular bouts of catastrophic thinking!! Confused? So am I. No worries tho...life is like that, neither one thing or the other. But beautiful none the less, even if, more than is comfortable, that beauty is savage.
I am studying to be a natural healing practitioner. I have two grown up babies who have flown beautifully from the nest and fly back just enough to keep us all happy. I have a faithful four legged friend who smells bad, a crazy, transexual cockatiel and a feisty catwith paws the size of Texas. I work with vulnerable teenagers and relate to them well, as although I am a woman of a certain age, I am, in my head, a teenage dirtbag.
I enjoy writing my stuff on here and love reading other's.
Everybody is a poet, it just takes the confidence to share your work and soul.
Have missed our little tete a tete's.
