Welcome to the core of my being. I assembled in this list all of my activities, both on Allpoetry, and in my "real" world, where I work as meta-therapist, endopath and writer.

A Galactic Collision by Wbiro
http://allpoetry.com/poem/2459715

Author notes: This Hubble Space Telescope image shows the cores of the twin Antennae galaxies in galactic collision.
Inspired by a collision with (the equally bored?) Myrataal

I am a spiral galaxy -
self-contained, spinning free
off into the empty void
100 million stars with me.

A collision course I was on
with a nearby galaxy -
she, self-contained, just like I
100 million stars inside …

When we met it did not feel
like anything I’d felt before -
swirling, twirling, twisting, teasing
grabbing, clutching, reaching, seizing …

As we drifted on our ways
little stars, new galaxies
spun away as children play …

Thank you so much, Wayne, for this poem symbolized that which I love most in poetry: to inspire others to write poems! As a result very many "starlings" drifted off into the universe!

Sing, sing, sing ... for a weeping world ...
a lullaby for the wounded child

(comment posted by me for Lyrical Soul)

I wrote and composed quite a few songs. The following is a good example of the kind of music and lyrics I write: http://www.allpoetry.com/poem/139693

Thank you, Shadid, for your interpretation of Light Song ... I shall try to upload this song again for the audio file was removed.

I am mostly here. But: do not look for me

when I am gone - feel my thoughts flutter

in your soul ... invisible kisses.

Once a master practiced and every day was visited by the animals of the forest. Birds worshipped him and brought flowers and fruits. He continued with his practice and deepened his insight.

One day the animals stopped worshipping him. They could not find him any more.

Thank you, Joyful (Ingrid).

PLEASE READ THE WORK OF THE YOUNG POETESS, SEUGNET -- She started off with poetry for children a few weeks ago. Thank you my friends.
http://allpoetry.com/seugnet @>-->>-------

I live Love and I love Life. For me Love is Christ, and Life is the Almighty God ... and His Spirit is my Strength and Solace. Nothing can separate me from His Love (Romains 8).

This website is a photo album of my body, mind and soul, to share with my children and all my friends and readers, my fleeting journey within Time. I am who I am - unmasked - externally and internally His creature, joyful in gratitude for forgiveness and spiritual sustenance in sorrow.

For a man I had known well -- the father of my children, whom I admired for his strength and for his endless courage, Johann Lochner (October 14th, 1947 - February 21st, 2006), and for my five children, the following song sent to me by my eldest son, Johann, as a reminder:

IMPOSSIBLE DREAM
(lyrics by Joe Darion)

To dream the impossible dream,
to fight the unbeatable foe,
to bear with unbearable sorrow,
to run where the brave dare not go ...

To right the unrightable wrong,
to love pure and chaste from afar,
to try when your arms are too weary
to reach the unreachable star!

This is my quest --
to follow that star
no matter how hopeless,
no matter how far --

To fight for the right
without question or pause,
to be willing to march into hell
for a heavenly cause!

And I know if I'll only be true
to this glorious quest
that my heart will be peaceful and calm
when I'm laid to my rest.

And the world will be better for this
that one man, scorned and covered with scars
still strove with his last ounce of courage

To reach the unreachable stars!

I am deeply grateful for the influence of Masapoet on my work, and on my life in general. He is a brilliant poet -- fearless, bold and powerful in both creativity and in spirituality. He was the one who uplifted me for years in times of great sorrow, who worked with me in his humble, yet dynamic way -- who put back a smile on my face. I love him for this.

your poem sounds familiar
is it an old one or a new one?
perhaps it only echoes my heart

myra

.

I am also deeply touched by other poets on the Internet, some of them working closely with me during impromptu collaborations (my favorite way of writing). Every single poem I read influences me, for I become the poet and his words -- whether I agree with the content, or not. Although I do have a favorite's list, it is for practical reasons: my time online is limited. Thank you all for reading me. I appreciate your comments sincerely.

IF

IF is a word to know the I
to Feel the me inside -
IF I feel me I would not hide
behind those senseless IFFINGS

myra -- inspired by whims

.

contempory poetry

I wouldn't and I shouldn't
feed that which I couldn't taste
so separate the poetry
from that destined as waste

myra -- written tongue-in-the-cheek for Lisa
.

on love and death

What is the soul, my friend, other than the memory
of a Holy Kiss needing lips to become heartfelt?
What is Love other than a Rose
dying into yesterday's Eternal Fragrance?
... Death is but a smile left breathless by Expectation ...

on feeling boxed in

Do you feel boxed in with no window, no door? Please look up: you are standing in the Doorway, framed by Light; and look down: you are standing on the Stepping Stone, the Keystone, the Corner Stone of Love. Now rebuild your Temple.

~~~~~~~
I am Love and Love is writing words in water. I am also Sun and Sun is reflecting the Word. I am both Earth and Sky; Reason and Emotion; Fire and Ice; Life and Death; Hope and Despair.
I am clay ... being reshaped every day, until I'll be at last what I am destined to be: an ascending star.
My real name is Myra. My origin is the Trinity. I am a Traveller in Time. My Destiny is known.
I started writing poetry when I was 7 years old, but only "became public" at 8, when my first poem was discovered by my teacher. The topic for my first poem was the muteness and deafness of my doll, which frustrated me tremendously. I discovered early that communication is crucial for any relationship. Before that, I loved fairy tales and "practised" my writing skills as soon as I could master the alphabet! Being a child of nature, I could disappear into the skies even whilst surrounded by a crowd.
During my high school years I was awarded several times for my writing and oratorial abilities. As a student I enjoyed intellectual play, a typical academic and pseudo-philosophical approach, which luckily did not last, but discovered soon enough that poetry is simplicity: that which is unsaid, must be gently guided by the written word.
At the University of Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, now the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, where I obtained a B.A. degree in Social Work, I won a Cultura Award (First prize for poetry), years after the completion of my studies. I never really wrote for public admiration; I was intensely involved in a conversation with the Self. I also won a national first prize for a short story in 1996, Drie Dae (Three Days); I've written a short story on the political transition in SA, called "Die Dag van die Vote" ("The Day of the Vote"), which was published by Van Schaik Publishers in "TAXI" (short stories by all the colourful voices of South Africa).
Being a social worker with focus on children and family care, but also on community development, helped me to develop my own modules in multi-disciplinary therapy. Language is at the core of my approach. In implementing creative writing abilities, I succeed in the reorientation of people to assist them in becoming pro-actively responsible for self-actualization.
I am the director of an initiative, KREATIV, with the slogan "Grondstof in die Grysstof" (in my mother tongue Afrikaans), which roughly translated means "Thoughts create products". It was initially founded by me and a dear friend and fine South African linguist, Helena Liebenberg, with valuable inputs for the past five years by co-worker, Org Naudé and sponsor, Fanie Marais (CORDIS TRUST) -- without their help I would not have been able to make dreams visible. This initiative is non-profitable, and is driven by pure enthusiasm and 100% dedication. The core of our work is devotion to God and his creatures and creation.
KREATIV also launches international creativity projects, which focus on marketing South Africa in a non-political way. We launched a project with Fuji Film S.A., "South Africa Focused" [2001], by inviting poets from all over the world to enter photos to demonstrate their connections with South Africa, and handed over prizes to the amount of R30,000.00.
We published several international poetry compilations:
Reis/Journey [2001]
Taal van Liefde/Language of Love [2002]
Droomboek van Drome/Dream Book of Dreams [2003]
(the latter which included more than 50 poets from Allpoetry) www.allpoetry.com/Column/234547
and
Tekens.Tokens [2005], the product of five national workshops and internet selections on shape poetry and poetry forms and formats. www.allpoetry.com/Column/1962654
@>-->>-------- I want to thank Ken Myers for his observations and response during workshops before the publication of TEKENS.TOKENS. He discovered in my soul the TJIE (a term he "coined" by taking the diminutive form of my name, Myratjie, as my mom used to call me -- a term of love and endearment), the true key and gift of Divine origin, to unlock wounded souls.
I also want to thank Chris Mekern, aka Aura Dei, who with much patience created the beautiful cover of TEKENS.TOKENS, and who is powerful in his love of the Light. Aku cinta kue, beloved Soul.
These annual publications may exclude or include those done as result of our [national] workshops on creative writing.
The aim of KREATIV's work, as embodied in thoughts - creative projects, poetry, prose - is to expose the dynamics of integrating intellect and emotion, and to enhance a refined wholeness dwelling temporarily, but contentedly, in a mortal body. If you notice in my work an infinite yearning for perfection in the spiritual realm, please understand it in context:
" What greater proof need we that we inherit
A life immortal in another sphere?
It is the homesick longing for the spirit
that cannot find its satisfaction here."
ELLA WHEELER WILCOX
I am at times forced to be professional, but I am a free spirit, forgotten by time. My needs are few and basic. I am not lured by wealth or power, haven't travelled abroad, but is a globalized being in Timelessness and in Soul. On this journey I am fortunate to have souls who love me and guide me. I want to thank my five children for their acceptance of a mother free-spirited and somewhat extraordinary. I also want to thank my beloved poet friend, Herman Engelbrecht, who for many years urged me to follow my dream.
I also want to thank Devon Murray for defining foreverandeverandever in such a special way. Devon taught me that life is too precious to waste because of inevitable sorrow. To be happy no matter what. I will, Devon.
Please read the work of my friend of many years, Frans Bezuidenhout http://allpoetry.com/FransB Welcome to Allpoetry, Frans, and for sharing your wisdom and healing expertise, in thoughtful words of compassion. I am privileged to know you, not only as a colleague, but as co-worker in the Invisible Church of Jesus the Christ, our one and only Lord and Saviour.
I love to play the piano while composing poems - playing instinctively; fingers roaming thoughts - feeling words with and within the music. Sometimes I feel the music first, the melody beckoning and begging the words to come hither. I can play for hours, lost in the sound and the soul of the poem.
I love lamplight and candlelight, creating an own micro-cosmos: sun, moon and stars. Within light I experience the True Light and the Heart of Creation. I am nearest to God in these moments of reflective listening to the Self:
white waterlily
stemmed on its dark shadow
confirming the sun
myra
In sorrow and in pain my connection to the Sun is being confirmed.
