The sneadhbhairdne is a syllabic stanza form.
It alternates between octasyllabic and tetrasyllabic lines, both ending in disyllabic words.
Lines two and four rhyme.
Line three consonates with both.
Every stressed word in line four must rhyme, there is also aliiteration as in the rionnaird tri-nard. The poem is cyclic and closes with a dunedh.
