In Umbleania by the Sea
There's now a true democracy -
In Umbleania by the sea
They use the strangest currency -
In Umbleania by the Sea
The football's played with energy -
In Bindybandy on the Sand
The Queen has formed a marching band -
In Bindybandy on the Sand
A revolution has been planned -
In Bindybandy on the Sand
A muses conference is planned. -
In Umbleania by the Sea
They're giving cakes away for free -
In Umbleania by the Sea
They thought they'd stage their own Grand Prix -
In Bindybandy on the Sand
The far horizon has been scanned -
In Umbleania-by-the-Sea
There's lots of archaeology -
In Umbleania by the Sea
They're giving cake away for free

Umbleania by the Sea is a People's Republican kingdom ruled democratically by an absolute monarch (King Bob). With its many beautiful arid lakes, low lying mountains and flooded deserts it is a tourist paradise, but absolute hell for visitors.
If you go to visit remember to stop off in Bindybandy on the way, you will find directions in the notes to many of the poems listed. -
I've bookmarked this list.
I'm more of a reader than writer on AP. I did laugh out loud on three on the list:
The Economic Crisis in Umbleania by the Sea, Formula One no, two, no, three, no Formula fourteen!, and Old Prof McBeal
While, I have found other humorous poems, I hadn't found myself laughing out loud even when other people's comments had those insidious acronyms that indicate that they can't stay in their chairs (I guess not 'cause they also say they lost the bums laughing) or something like that.
Anyway, I bookmarked this list because I want to come back. I spend way to much time on the computer since I found this site and I don't want to have too spend time at AP Anonymous meetings if there is such a thing.
I have way too much housework and I haven't even visited Bindybandy on the Sand.
Thanks for sharing!
