For the Moon is my MacGuffin making sense of all I see
She's the light that I look up and she ties your heart to me -
At a table in a garden on a soft sweet summer's night
Two friends are sitting talking by the moon's reflected light -
When moonlight falls upon a sleeping dreamer
The Moon can see the stories in his head -
In the gentle evening twilight I was sitting by a tree,
With a glass of wine beside me and a book of poetry.21 lines, 7 comments, on Aug 19 4:49 PM. In Love -
After midnight in the garden hoping Perseids appear
Little streaks of hope that dance across the sky -
On chilly evenings after sunny days
When swifts and swallows sweep on flies to eat -
Each evening when it's time for bed you kiss the Moon goodnight
The morning comes and you embrace the sun -
No Moon tonight, the clouds have wiped, her laughter from the skies
How will she know the song that she should sing? -
I am whispering a love-song to my friend the silver moon
And she promises to whisper it to you -
The man in the moon is looking down to see who's out to play
A silver balloon that seems to know the words I want to say -
On a cold clear night in Winter hanging silent in the sky
Is the silver source source of magic making music for the eye -
The garden looks it finest in the moonlight every spring,
When you and I are sitting and the blackbird starts to sing.46 lines, 18 comments, on Oct 22 5:42 PM 2008. In Love -
