Fearing the worst, my tunnel cold and empty -
A cry for help trapped inside my broken heart
Tears on my face, I ran blindly through the dark -
What does it mean to love someone so much that I might get hurt?
And is it right to feel such passion, enough to destroy me? -
I waited a lifetime, perhaps longer
Waiting to hear from the Heavens above -
A solitary rose for the loneliness
That I felt when I woke that October morning -
You make me so happy that I don't recognize myself.
I feel so safe in your arms; You've broken down my walls. -
In the dark I lie, staring at the ceiling
Contemplating what life means to me -
Hold me in your arms tonight
Now, and for the rest of time -

A cutting pain, hidden so deep
