Just close your eyes and let the sound of water clear your mind
as you sit beneath a willow in the shade; -
Mother Nature spends her days protecting our good earth
so we may have a life that’s fit to live, -
The seat beneath the apple tree, a haven from the heat
an ideal place to wile away the hours, -
If you want extravaganza then a garden you will need,
see all of nature’s beauty at it’s best, -
words of lovers
are whispered on the breeze -
On every seed they say a wish or dream is softly spoken
then cast adrift upon the breeze, no more than just a token, -
Mother Nature sheds her winter cloak
and dons her pinkest gown -
The snow is swirling all around the sky is very grey
the temperature has dropped to one below, -
Ghosts of frozen tear drops float like feathers from the sky
as soft as down from any pure white dove, -
wonder at the sights
of a cold December day -
Don’t think about the bad things on a cold, grey Winters day
the ice, the slush and things that make you blue, -
To wake upon a Winters morn and see the landscape white
the snow has transformed every single tree, -
The old year soon will leave us and the new will show it’s face
upon the stroke of midnight on this day, -
Stand and wonder at the beauty that the Winter season brings
the starkness of the colder, shorter days, -
As a child enjoy the sound
of Mother Nature all around, -
To hear the sound of fallen leaves that crunch beneath my feet
or the squirrel as it chatters in the tree, -
All life on earth is governed by the seasons of the year
both heat and cold are needed to survive, -
While Mother Nature wears her cloak of gold
all interspersed with many shades of red, -
On misty Autumn mornings when the dew is on the grass
the air is so much cooler than the earth, -
To wake and see the bedroom walls are painted shades of red
as blushing sunrise casts an early ray, -
The swirling Autumn mist hangs low across the dew kissed grass
and rays of early sun will warm the air, -
To wake on Autumn mornings when the first rays of the sun
will tinge the sky with red to greet the day, -
Summer days are numbered as the seasons change once more
and heat gives way to early morning chill, -
-
I’ve found the place that rainbows die
upon this good green earth -
I’ve been awake since half past when
I need to get some air, -
The mighty storm has rumbled by
leaving clouds of grey, -
A Step Through Time
To step into my garden is to take a step through time -
R ays of liquid golden sunlight
O ccupy the bluest sky -
The golden glow of morning as it kissed the mountain peak
could not foretell the weather of the day, -
Steep the climb
the path unsure, -
House for Sale put up the sign
or maybe House for Rent, -
As we walked the valley floor -
A fish called September is one of a kind swims in a pool and gives peace of mind,

Spring Of Life
Love and life a new beginning -
Welcome, won’t you join me
this is just the spot to write, -
How crisp the ground still white with snow
footfalls crunch -

Autumn’s glory fills our eyes
a carpet neath our feet, -
Mother Natures gown is white
as soft as any down, -
All life is dependant on the music of the spheres

Here’s the frigate Trojan -
The squirrel stood in front of us -
The babbling brook runs swiftly -

Winter days of discontent
New birth all around, -
Here I stand alone
In the forest of my birth, -
Deserted waste, barren land,
At what cost, by mans hand. -
The Mighty Oak
How proud it stands, -
A new days dawn
A wondrous sight, -

The stillness of the evening casts a sheen upon the lake
reflections of a sunset are two-fold, -
Sweet smell of wood smoke through forests of pine
clings very tightly to Autumn’s chill breeze,
