List: Our Graveyard

A collection of poetry I've written for a dear friend of mine, outlawtorn to show this wonderful person that no one is ever alone.

The stars that fall mean wishes for all
They are special in their own right
And for you, my dear, be aware
that your wish will come true one night

Keep that hope strong, be faithful among
the people of broken dreams and lost joy
You will see what you will have one day soon,
and the stars shall shine brightly night and noon

I'll keep that faith too, and keep reminding you
that there is more to life than apathy and ruin
And when you've lost hope, and you fall from light,
I'll be there to help you stand and walk through the night

...until you find the pillar again to lift you up

"failure is of no concern to me
for you succeed even where you cannot see
i always seem to find your outstretched hand
no matter the darkness of this grave land
i can feel your spirit very well
wether the light of heaven or misery of hell
and i exist in honest gratitude
to you my friend and
you have my hand as well"

"you are a dear friend to me
lending your hand so willingly
caring for me so honestly
your wonder i cannot help but see

thank you with all my heart
for being there as i am torn apart

for i can move freely
knowing you are there for me
and you make things better certainly
supporting who i want to be

thanks to you my dearest thorn
you allow me to remain both outlaw and torn
and keep me company in this place as i mourn"

"let the stars fall
let the stars shine
i will learn to catch them
and hold them as signs
of the faith and the hope
belief beautifully defined

i will learn that when i fall
i can remain shining as i do
and follow the path of petals
that will always lead to you
for the thorns that draw blood
do not have to cause pain
but serve as faithful reminders
that the sun will come out again

through the darkness and ruin
along the walk of roses strewn
i know the light will always fail
but there will still be the moon
and your blossoming love
will guide my steps until done
helping me to that moment
when i stand smiling in the sun"

"i will bring the rains of relief
to fall upon this hellish desert
return precious nourishment
to the precious rose
her darkened withered petals
they will absorb what they need
her vibrant colors come back
and the vitality will show through

strength will replace frailty
decay will give way to life
once strong enough
i will uproot you from this place
to bring you to new ground
it will no longer confine you
no longer judge you
you may grow back into the light
i will not leave but smile on you
taking your misery from you
i will give you my companionship
to follow in its wake"
