I've got seven pretty pillows
and a pocket full of change23 lines, 6 comments, on Jul 23 3:59 PM -
Heavy eyelids
hang like portals to the past -
I am
the likeness of a God -
She stood on the rocks like a great asylum
weathering the great blows -
Craisins
oyster crackers -
our sleeping bodies
floated through the cavern maze -
The neighborhood has secrets
organized like the yards -
What wicked rain that wreaks its way
outside the sights we've seen -
I see magic, but only when it’s visible.

i needed a poemette tonight.... this may be returned to at a later date
-
why do you spell such lonely words?
-
a poem
for every bottle -
the sound a beating heart makes
when it's left out in the rain -
I think she's crying
ugly yellow teardrops. -
But even though the tears may go
from river to the sea... -
Perfectly misshapen shards of identity
trickling across the disillusioned taspestry of echoes -
Life
is an incontinent circus without a coaster. -
A muddled inky masterpiece of words
Reflects the blueish moonbeams in my eye -
Is this frame my frame forever?
Can a whisper break through glass? -
Where pillows never leave your head
And all your tears are mine instead -
Angry little watermelon seeds
That spit themselves into red brick walls -
In your eyes, my velvet garden
In your heart, my midnight rose -
And I'm falling, falling, falling
To the place my heart is calling -
Can a puddle...
.............................drench a mountain? -
Secrets
Entrusted in time -
The snow outside slowed down
And swirled just for me... -
The happiness melts into a puddle of teardrops
And it all drains down down down -
Where darkness dances the tango
With an insecurity named Ego. -
We all resemble who we are
Be it plain or it bizarre -
You stabbed me in the heart with your razor lips
And kissed the wound it made -
Scattered shards of potential ingenuity
Flew like dead doves -
The cotton sheet—
The bloody stain— -
So now to you I send my prayer.
Take heed and don't you dare despair. -
the horrific truths of how
disappointment has prevailed! -
In fact I once was
A small part of you.
