Once I was queen of chaos
Flash of neon in my head -
blue-baked and scattered
on the outside looking in -
My body's been a dying
Since the day that I was born. -
She writes third place poetry, as neighbors come and go.
She loves the smell of cheap perfume and five and dime for show. -
In these days of progress, fake snow strewn about the house
Ornamental dangles tempt the cats to take a pounce. -
Almost the song that never was
Fighting for a world's applause -
A million excuses
Reasoning men. -
Destiny's dreaming on the shore
Of amphitheater highlights -
Not for the tricks,
Not for the clicks, -
Daffodils or winter chills
In my head on verdant hills -
She wore his perfect hollow ring upon her finger
The void that it enclosed would not be known. -
Sacred spiral whirls around
Each time higher off the ground -
Stigma shining out
The light of day, -
Mirror image
Opposite ends -
She shed her pearls and satin
Left it all behind -
How hard would it be
To find misery -
Dim wit, two bit
Got a knack for hating it -
