Dear Bea,

Hold dear to all your special friends with care;
for ever precious are the dreams you share. -
I wonder if that girl, still dreaming some,
can see, with pride, the woman I've become. -
If you're now happy, Brian, we will not mind
this awful pain in us you've left behind. -
One day, if blessed with spiritual love,
oh! cherish it! for it’s from God above. -
Since time began we shared each life anew;
our love will last beyond the lives we knew. -
I contemplate the beauty of this scene,
my longings blessed with seemliness serene. -
These happy, fleeting moments fly too fast
but every hour and minute is a joy. -
As I disembarked, the smiling face of Hugh
was greeting me; we hugged each other tightly. -
The spirit stays but brief - we know it’s there,
close to our hearts. They know we care. -
Be young my children while you both are free
your youth will pass too soon as you will see -
I wonder what became of friends of mine?
Allpoetry, the site I love, is quiet -
No one was there to give them their last rites
or pray as they slipped into their long nights.19 lines, 13 comments, on Mar 8 3:14 PM 2006. In Sad

go find the peace you seek as dreams unfold
-
So trust your own instincts and you may find
the life you want with one who’s good and kind. -
So, with Your help I know that I can free from pain
my friends and share the joy to see them well again. -
To let age stop your life would be a sin.
Get out! Enjoy yourself and don’t give in!
