Though there were only six episodes, Sons of Thunder, a spin-off of Walker, Texas Ranger, generated quite a following. The series followed the adventures of two young private detectives in the city of Dallas. The characters of Trent Malloy and Carlos Sandoval were originally introduced in a special two hour episode of Walker, Texas Ranger in 1997. The two then became 'semi-regular' characters on Walker, until the Sons Of Thunder debut in 1999.

The stories follow an order, but there are a few missing.
Mrs. Sandoval happens about three years after Silent Justice.
