AKA: Salvia... Salvia... Serving Alone, Laboring Valiantly In Attic Latest face picture - in hat - taken 7-27-2008. You have no idea how badly I wanted to leave the 7 year old picture posted!

Since I have signed on in 2005, (it is 8-7-2007 now) I have become a bonafied old lady with surgery stories and life and death experiences.  Lucky you, I don't intend to relate them to you.
My Muse wanders in and out and I think poetry.com has my account labeled "FULL".   I don't remember why I stopped using allpoetry so I don't know how long I will be posting here.

If I pull up your work but don’t comment, it means I didn’t find anything positive to say about it. Since it evidently suits YOU (or you would not have posted it), I see no use in giving a negative review. That’s MY choice. IF YOU ENTER A CONTEST OF MINE, YOU CAN EXPECT A TRUTHFUL COMMENT. IF YOU CAN'T TAKE A TRUTHFUL COMMENT, DO US BOTH A FAVOR AND JUST DON'T ENTER.

'Nuff said?   Linda

. . . . . . I SORT OF LIKE YOU, SO HERE. . . . . . . TAKE THIS TEA CAKE RECIPE . . . . . .. (REAL Tea Cakes. Like your Grandmother used to talk about.) T E A C A K E S Preheat oven to 350 degrees . . . 4 eggs . . . 2 cups of sugar . . . 1 cup of Butter . . . ½ cup of Buttermilk . . . ½ Teaspoon of soda, stirred into buttermilk . . . 3 Teaspoons Baking Powder . . . ½ Teaspoon of Salt . . . 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla . . . Enough flour to make a dough stiff enough to roll In your big mixer or a large bowl and your hand held mixer, cream butter and sugar . . . Add well beaten eggs and vanilla . . . Add buttermilk and soda mix Mix until smooth . . . Mix baking powder and salt into a cup of flour . . . Stir this into the butter/sugar/egg mixture . . . Add more flour until the mixture is stiff enough to roll . . . Lift as much of the mixture as you want to onto some floured waxed paper or something that serves the same purpose . . . Kneed it slightly then pat it as flat as you want it . . . Cut out in what ever shape you want (round is wonderful) and bake . . . How long you bake depends on how flat you made the dough . . . Fatter cookies take a little longer to cook . . . Before baking, I have seen people add M&Ms or M&Ms with peanuts. I saw no indication that the Tea Cake was hurt in any way by this action . . . Enjoy!

Congratulations on being chosen as one of Hugh Wyles' Favourites!
As HOH (Head of Harem) it is my pleasure to welcome you to Hugh Wyles' Favourites Group (or "Hugh's Harem" as is has been humourously named). The Group consists of both male and female favourites which are listed in chronological order on Hugh's AP Author's Page.
It is also my pleasure to introduce you to Huguelot Castle, our fantasy home where we have good innocent diversion as Huguenauties. We hold a Ball there at least once a year with a contest for King Hugh’s Faves and invited guests. I hope you will join us in our amusement now you have become a member of Hugh's Favourites group. We run a contest from, the 1st to 22nd of each month under the Huguenauties site where the winner, by vote of all contest entrants, hosts the next contest.
Hugh, as our King, is much loved by all his favourites and we are all very proud of his wonderful poems. He will personally comment on your new postings of non-contest poems as they appear on AP and is always willing to help with correcting or editing if you email a draft to him before posting. He comments on all entries in Huguenauties' contests. You will also receive each week Queen Edna and Hugh’s weekend newsletters that hold a variety of interesting subjects.
I hope you will enjoy your stay with us and the innocent fun in which, as poets, we all share. You should now apply to our King Hugh for your Royal Title stating your preference. Please don't hesitate to ask me if you need any help.

    Welcome and love, angelica.
