Mourning...By Moonlight
I see through blood-streaked windows and horizontal rains
I feel the years leave…through cut and constricted veins.
I mourn the loss of you… unknown
As I die, and regain self-control.
The wicks are short and burnt to ash
Their lives succinct and do not last.
I envy the air consumed by flame…

I rise from myself in darkest fashion
And look upon my hearts last act of passion.
My fear transcends as soulless me
Is bound to the earth in captivity.
My wings are charred, and burnt to crisps
Not heaven, nor hell, but in betwixt.
I mourn the loss of me…under skies deadlights
I mourn the loss of my…strength and will to fight
I mourn the loss of day…now eternal night
I mourn the loss of me…
