I am a very simple poet, not much to most of my poems, I want though to make it feel as if you were there.
I love CHESS! OH YEAH...sorry.
I also illustrate my poetry...I'm trying to find away to upload them to the computer and provide a link.
I think that poetry is the gateway between existance and non-existance...we poets are creators we mold the view that the world sees. We create. We can create like God. For we are like him. He created us in his image, he also lets us create. He gave us emotions to create, and poets are the very founders and shapers of emotion, we give feelings names, we explain them, we create them.

MORE by Matthew West
Take a look at the mountains
Stretching a mile high
Take a look at the ocean
Far as your eye can see
And think of Me
Take a look at the desert
Do you feel like a grain of sand?
I am with you wherever
Where you go is where I am
And I'm always thinking of you
Take a look around you
I'm spelling it out one by one
(Chorus)
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more
Just a face in the city
Just a tear on a crowded street
But you are one in a million
And you belong to Me
And I want you to know
That I'm not letting go
Even when you come undone
(Chorus)
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more
Shine for Me
Shine for Me
Shine on, shine on
Shine for Me
(Chorus)
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more
(Chorus)
Than the sun
and the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you, yesterday and today
Through the joy and the pain
I'll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more
And I see you
And I made you
And I love you more than you can imagine
More than you can fathom
I love you more than the sun
And you shine for me

femurlee : Good Interests on December 4, 2006I like the song by Matthew West too. It's a good tribute to God.
You sound like an interesting poet with your pastimes: theater and chess. Chess is a very mentally challenging sport. My brother was better at it than me. Keep writing. Peace. -
MovingMountains on February 28, 2006I really love Matthew West. Sometimes Christians like The Lord's Servant aren't the kind you want to listen to. Don't let him get to you. Yeah, we can talk anytime!!

Hello there! How are you doin? Thank you for leaving a message on my page! Yes indeed, I love chess and I collect chess pieces. The best one that I have right now is King Arthur's Court, individually handcrafted chess pieces. I play chess for the love of the game. I play on line.. Do you want to play sometime?
I love to play time game, 5 or 10, that will make me concentrate..I use Bruce Pandolfini's crime and punishment approach..
I have several friend poets that play chess as well.. they are good..they are members of the Sisterhood of Cats also..
So please give a shout if you are interested in playing chess on line and I will give you the link!
Thank you so much!
