Hey! ive been writing poetry a long time, ive only recently started experimenting with forms like Haiku! I do like the challenge though!
I tend to lean more towards freeverse poetry, just because there are no restrictions! I used to write a lot about my feelings, i tend to use more imagination these days, and use a lot more descriptions! Metaphors are fun too!
I used to take a creative writing class at school which was great! I dont get so much free time to write these days! I find butterflies, roses, darkness, stars and water very inspirational! If you have a look through, you'll find big clumps of poetry all about the same thing!

Shotgun Affair, Elevated, Making Eyes at Elvis, The Offspring, Greenday, All American Rejects, NOFX, 36 Crazyfists, some Korn, some Evanescence, Funeral For A Friend, Three Days Grace, Lostprophets, HIM, some Linkin Park, CKY, My Chemical Romance, AFI, Franz Ferdinand, Hollywood Ending, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd,Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, Guns'n'Roses, SOAD, The Commitments...ok...so not a REAL band, but they're cool...kinda!
and lots more that i cant think of right now!!
