My name is Amanda. I am the mother of 3 children, 1 girl,2 boys. My middle son Joshua, who was attending college at MSSU in Joplin, Mo. was killed on 2/27/04 in a car accident. For most of you who have read my poetry since I've been here on A.P. You know this last year, I've attempted to go thru the grieving process the only way I know how, With pen and paper. Today is a year, since Josh has been gone. I don't know that I've come very far. But, I've never lost a child before, and hope I never do again...It seems at times that I'll never get thru this. But, for Josh I will eventually conquer this nightmare, Because this is what he would want....

Joshuacrisel on January 15, 2005Well it is really late, I just got offline talking to four of my friends who we all was at a house and just getting together...and well its 4am now and we just got done talking like i had said...i just wanted to let ya know i appraciate that you read almost well not almost but A LOT of my work, I really dont like a lot of the old poems i writne i feel that everyday i get a bit better, but also the other ones are about like an ex that i cant stand and it just bothers me but u can read em i dont mind, but anywyas i just wanted to say thank you and i will comment on some of your poems later, I am to tired to know sorry i will catch ya later, an I am really sorry to hear aboutyour middle aged son
