KaylamegdosShow poetry

My real name is obviously Kayla and I write when I'm bored or feel inspired. My friends are usually the basis of my writing. My brother and I are the only ones in my family that can write worth a lick, and since he's an English Lit teacher he's a lot better than I am by a lot. Jesus is the one true love I've ever had. Through all my struggles (just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't go through tough times) Jesus was the only one I could rely on and the only one who would listen. I am a very happy person and only every once in a while am I upset. My most inspirational poem was the one I wrote about my best friend, Megan, who is more like my sister than anything else. She knows music and I know poetry and we connect on that level. I love reading inspirational books. There is one I recommend reading by Francine Rivers that will put Go'd love in perspective and it's called Redeeming Love. Whenever I feel down I read the italics and I know He's standing by my side and that's the only comfort I have in this shoulder-to-shoulder world. Love has happened in my life, but it's passed and gone. Hopefully it will come back and will stay for a while, but even if it doesn't I know that I can last without it, no matter the uphill battle.

"Laughter and smiles are the true key to a person's heart."
"Don't give up when there's a wall in front of you... Go find a ladder"
"Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life." -Proverbs 4:23
