Katie marieShow poetry

Wife of one, mother of two, grandmother of seven. Busy lady who just started writing poetry. Loving it, but has a lot to learn.

I enjoy reading poetry that speaks from the heart. Writing that tells me some of who you are and what's important to you, particularly with strong and imaginative imagery. I also enjoy narrative poetry with a story line. Since those are what I enjoy reading, that is also what you will find in my writing.

"a genuinely deeply caring and giving person whose generosity is also evidenced by her allowing others to be who they are, without judgment. She is also uniquely capable of honest, sometimes fearless, introspection accompanied by her thirst for truth and the ability to think out of the box." -Peg

This is a quote off my facebook page from a dear friend. I don't know if I always live up to it, but it is who I desire to be.

"Time and trouble will tame an advanced young woman, but an advanced old woman is uncontrollable by any earthly force." -Dorothy L. Sayers

This 'old woman' is enjoying this time of life.

  • It’s been decades since I’ve drank alcoholic beverages. Never really liked beer, and anything easy to drink, I’d tend to drink too much of too fast, which does not have good results (in my opinion). I haven’t ever really missed the drinking at all. But as I was pondering the unique dynamics of on-line community and
  • Why did I use the title 'words flowing from an unlatched mind' of a rambling write? Hmmm. I guess that's what came to mind when I read the word ramble. Unlatching and opening up the door to my mind and allowing it to simply pour out whatever was there without measured control or sensorship. I guess the subject I cho
