Hello,

 

I am a 40 year old woman who has just recently began to write.  You see I am a recovering addict of Presciption Pain Killers.

Ashamed of the things I had done to my family to get Pills.  But while I was using it really did'nt matter who I hurt, just as

long as I did'nt hurt was all that mattered to me.  Life has not dealt me a great hand through my years but that is still no excuse!

but I used that excuse to get the pills I needed to go through the days, hours, minutes and seconds.  But after detoxing and seeing

up cose and personel that I was not the only soul hurting.  I began writting my pain on paper as well as my many questions, instead

of taking a pill and drowning myself. I lost everything! my home, my car, my husband, my dignity and self respect.  But I'm so proud

to say that today I am still in the game.   Thank you for giving me this opportunity to express myself.
