I just got done reading a story on Peter Thiel most people know his work but dont know the man himself he is one of the reason we have many of the modern luxury we do if he didn't create he started some thing that evolved into that
founder of paypal and a creator of facebook along with several lending firms the man has seen his own pockets dwindle the last few years going from a worth of 7 billion to 1.5 billion almost over night paying out of pocket to many of his employees he has had a lot to say on the subject and a lot of what he says makes a whole lot of sense
he says we didn't go from horse to car over night, many of us have been living in a world that has expanded so fast that most of us don't ever know what is new because things are obsolete before we even get them all that has come to a stop he says and this is why we are experiencing the economy we are when we were manufacturing cars in the 20's and 30's we new how to fix them we new how to build them we new how to use them and we were making them, most of us don't even know how to fix our own cars much less make them creativity has hit flat in the 30's and 50's we had an idea of the future underwater worlds talking dolphins and flying cars in the 60's - 90's we had star trek to keep us looking to the future and we have most of that technology now we had some thing to look too a future to look for some thing to work for what do we have now ?

there is no future we cant think of anything else so we replay the popular and try to advance it, he predicts that if we don't get too being creative and looking to the future soon America will meet its end but he doesn't just come empty handed with this view he says if you look at all the great empires while they all met there end it is because of the same problem nothing else to work for and they cant see anything greater then what they had at the time
