Q: What is/are your favourite song(s)/band(s) at the moment & why?
A: I'll have five:
"ForDiana3" (sorry that's what it's called... ) by my Sean Because it's romantic and melancholic with a trace of optimism. Because it's for me by someone I love. Because it makes me feel at peace and helps ease my pain.
"Sober" - Pink - Iabsolutely love Pink's work. It's energetic and sensitive, a little hoarse and graceful, a bit of everythig. "Sober" kept playing on the TV at the reception of the hotel I stayed in these days and that made me happy.
"Donde" - Mandinga - Honestly, I had to look up the title and who sings it. I don't want to find it online just yet, because the song has such an emotional impact of memories in it, I don't want to hear it now at home, I'm not ready. The first time ever I heard this song on my mom's car-radio was going to the airport to pick up my dear Sean whom I had never met in person before. I was extremely nervous, excited, stressed out, worried, ... I had so many questions. The song has an upbeat rhythm yet much sadness in its lyrics. It suited my what-if thoughts, accompanying me... I've been hearing it on the radio now and then. Now it's playing in my head.
"Que Lastima Pero Adios" - whoever it is that sings it - just heard this song today. It's just... energetic, easy-going... very memorable and the lyrics are understandable even by me
"Manic Monday" - The Bangles - it shows how I feel, hehe. It has great voice and pace and it's a nice song I heard just today.
Q: What literary (fictional) romance/couple would you most like to see reflected in your own life & why?
A: Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba. It might sound cheesy but they were my (couple) role model growing up. Before I knew what loving felt like, I yearned to find someone with whom I could share what they shared.
Q: What is your favourite quote?
A: I have too many, but right now, due to a discussion with my parents and my current preoccupations, it is "An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind." - Gandhi.
Q: Are you at all musically inclined?
A: I sing and listen to music a whole lot.
Q: Who is/are your hero(es)?
A: Cuca, Sean, Sailor Moon, Pink, Thalia, um... that. Yes, I mentioned two real people close to me, a fictional character, and two singers I'll never get to know. They're all my heroes. Live with it.
Q: What are your dreams?
A: Have a happy, fulfilling relationship with my boyfriend. Have a baby. Sing very well. Publish my writing and have it be well-known. Win first prize in the annual Kusamakura haiku competition and go to Japan for free as a result. Be a successful psychotherapists and help people change their lives for the better. Live by the sea. Dreams, dreams, ...
Q: Is there an experience you've had that made you reevaluate your life and helped you be a better person?
A: my first love. Everything about it. Being in love with a real person for the first time and having it be love rather than just a crush... it made me become aware that I need to actually at least try to take care of my body. It's what made me begin to look around and really start caring about how people around me felt (i.e. there was someone I would constantly hurt before and I stopped because I.. I guess I didn't see how that went together with loving him). The last time I heard from him... that was one of the worst things I've been through... and I've made it and I'm doing well. Now I'm in love with someone else, but I'm still not over the learning and the struggling resulting from what I felt for him.
Also, my current boyfriend. The first boyfriend I've ever had. He's taught me a lot. With his attitude, he helped me to try and learn and be more curious, more exact, less selfish, pay attention more, be a little more logical, ...
I can't put into words how I've changed as a result of having these two men in my life. Well, I'd say that going to school made me reevaluate how I acted a lot. I became very formal to others because I was so afraid of my teacher. I had been an isolated kid before and I guess this didn't help.
Q: Do you speak any languages other than English?
A: Yes. I also speak Romanian, French, and Spanish.
Q: Where are you from and what places would you most like to visit?
A: I live in Romania and would like to visit Japan, the US (duh!), France, and if there's more sure, why not...
Q: What makes you happy?
A: warmth, loving relationships, being up to my standards, psychology, poetry, sitting with a good novel, music, learning, accomplishing things I thought I couldn't, a long, hot bath, delicious food, sweet words, daydreaming, the sea, stuffed toys, chocolate, .......
Q:How would you describe yourself?
A: I am very intense and passionate, have a couple phobias, am very involved in love and free-time (take these away from me and I'll die), have strong values and beliefs, I think too much, I treasure my memories, ......
