If laughter is the best medicine
why have I stopped being ticklish...
I used to bust up over the stupidest things, inappropriately so. Church always cracked me up, so she finally stopped taking me. Never said anything, just stopped coming to save me from my ritual of drinking on Sundays. Who's to say what constitutes rest; hard wooden pews, or the top of a my picnic table? I invariably choose to take my communion alone, and out of the neck of the bottle. No brown paper bag, because I really don't give a fuck what you think, but I do miss the drive; she smelled of red licorice and old-lady roses; (the kind you swear you'll hari-kari yourself if your caught dead smelling like that); funny...
not funny-haha, but more like, you know...the way the dog tilts his head oddly and looks surprised when you fart-funny.

I like the way you worded this. Church is an easy laugh, often a pathetic and sad laugh, embarrassed FOR them, like an awkward moment in a movie. How old were you when you quit going?

I imagine many are
giggles every time
so bad I have to leave the room
never fails
something stoopid will tickle me
and then my imagination goes into hyperdrive
it is ... terrible
