I feel bad that I never knew
how lucky I am
To be here
To be alive
To be happy
To be swallowed up by snow
And happiness
And love
I never knew
Because it was always there

Somehow I got a wake up call
And now, at least I know
How lucky I am
To breathe in fresh air
To be able to laugh loudly and freely
To walk out of my house
And build a snowcouple
How lucky I am
Simply to be here
To be me
To be me

I am a lucky girl
Even when I don't feel like it
I am

And I hope I'll never forget that
Besides, it's the little things that make up the big things
So it's the little things that really matter

I am one lucky Canadian girl
I can laugh
I can shout
I can cry
I can speak my mind
I can be free
I can be me
I am lucky
And today, that's exactly how I feel
