where is my muse???

It's amazing to me that I have been writing all my life, but I have these periods of time that I wrote nothing at all. Where does my muse go? Sometimes its gone for years almost like in a transition phase of my conscious life. I began writing as a teenage girl, and then not until I was a college student. Then nothing for about 20 years!! Big Jump!! Since I have joined All Poetry, with all the prompts, and creative people around me, I have tried new forms, and tried to improve my writing although I don't think I have my style other than I usually write from my heart, or an emotional feeling. Though even that has changed and I have tried to write from a creative standpoint as well, not coming from my own feelings but that of the experience or feelings of others as well. Oh well, I am just babbling, but where is my muse today I wonder.

I wrote all through highschool into my twenties, then not again until about 48. Your muse is there at your ear. Sometimes our lives are in adjustment and we become out of tune.
When you are settled and quiet you will hear again, and you willwrite agin. Let it go and beat peace about it.

Write new lyrics to a song you like...one per day...for a while

  • Maybe she eloped with my muse, lol. Your writings echo some of my own thoughts and feelings. Thanks for sharing..

Sometimes people lose their desire for writing.
I've been like that. I'll crank out like half a script (50 some-odd pages) then i have nothing for like month or so.

Its frustrating but the inspiration will come back...forcing it only makes it worse.

  • This journal entry might become a poem at some point but right now its just a rant... I have a strong dislike for people who judge when they know NOTHING about a person. Just because i write about lifestyle stuff does not make me a bad person. I think sometimes people who judge, are actually in fear of finding out
