To all those who use white fonts on black backgrounds

*a message someone sent me*1

The bright white words on dark black background is extremely irritating. It's like you're trying to burn this poem into my retinas and I don't really want that to happen.2

I read through this pretty quickly because I don't have my welding goggles and, ok we covered that already. The thick layer of imagery over what you were saying still doesn't compensate for the emptiness of thought below the surface. I don't know if this was more of a comedic piece poking fun at extremes in "poetry" seen all over AP, and if it wasn't then I apologize for sounding rude.3

    Well what does this person expect? I think that's one of the better color combinations. And all my poems are like that and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon either.

    That confuses me, because I know who you speak of, and he never said anything to me about my poems...which are ALL white font on black.

      Maybe they took a dislike to me, or maybe they didn't like the fact that I refused to change it. Anyway, ho hum......

    Aww Boooo. White font on black background is hot, no, HAWT! LOL.

    Sorry it hurts your eyes though, that does kinda suck when you can't enjoy what you are reading due to brightness or something. Maybe our eyes are just sensitive? Adjust your monitor for such a background/font and read all day long!
