It was totally worth it

It's been an imense week this week. I haven't written a journal for a few days and I realised I only seem to write here when I've had a shitty day or my head's a mess. So I thought I'd make an effort to come and record some good times!
Sunday night the skies opened and covered most of England in snow, not just a light covering like normal - I think we had about 6 inches round here. So, Monday no trains; day off work, Tuesday icey; no trains another day off! Wednesday, today, ANOTHER day off on account of my knee. I'll explain.
As Monday was a snow day and I didn't have 'proper' work all I had to do all day was a four hour shift at the local pub. Most of the regulars were off work and down th epub as well - a few drinks turned into everyone staying out all night, including me. We had an absolutley massive snowball fight! Then, as the alcohol started to take effect I decided I'd try some stunt sledging. Which involved me getting pushed down a hill, in the general direction of a jump at the end. It was sooo funny. I managed to hit the jump only once, the rest of the rides just ended with me in a heap on the floor. The bad part was when Katie and Jackie tried pushing me, and they pushed me straight into a car!! Injuries were made!! I've done something to my knee which has resulted in it being twice the size it should be and me unable to walk around on it!! I'm going to hospital later, I'm getting a little concered about it. ahahahahha I am absolutley covered in bruises as well - But you know what, I still say it was totally worth it!!! The laughs and sheer fun I got out of it were excellent! When I was doing Katie and Jackie were laughing and squealing loads, and when we went back in they both told me they laughed so much some wee came out!!! Ahahahahaha how funny. This is the reason the injuries were worth it, as long as there's laughter, I'm happy.
The snow is still outside, only now there's a thick layer of ice on top of it and beneath it. It is sooo hard to walk around.
There's something about being inside in warm comfy clothes, looking out on snow and ice that I really love. Especially with a hot mug of tea or hot chocolate!
I made a terrible mistake over the weekend, and I was feeling really bad about it before the snow day. I've come to realise it's happened, I'll live with the consequences for a while now. It doesn't matter! I have a very clear head at the moment, partly because of a great new friend I made the other day, partly because of me. Once again, I can say I'm happy with my lot, for the time being!!

  • I have a very addictive personality, 'they' say you either do or you don't. I definitely do. Currently I'd say I'm addicted to canabis (it certainly is addictive), painkillers and nicotine. I used to have a real problem with cocaine but managed to stop that many years ago. Well, until now. For all my bravado abo

  • This weekend was an execptionally heavy one. I had about 12 hours sleep all weekend, I'm pretty tired! And not enjoying my Monday morning at all. So, I thought I'd come on here and release some of the thoughts that have been haunting me these past few days. I still haven't split up with MNG, I really don't know wha

  • An interesting day today. Woke up to a typical Brit day, grey clouds, frost on the ground. I wanted to curl straight back up and return to my slumber, but the butterflies in my stomach kept me from it. I had to see my ex-husband today and I had a meeeting at work; which I knew was not going to go well. I don't

  • Ok, so I had some feed back on my first entry yesterday, and that got me to thinking. I really should break up with the guy I'm seeing. I'm being unfair to him by not. I just need to work my way up to doing it - I haven't split up with anyone in over 7 years, and flings just kinda broke apart naturally before. S

  • I'm pleased 2009 is finally here. I have never wanted to say goodbye to a year more than I have 2008. I saw my whole world come crashing down, literally pulled away from me. I lost my marriage, my home and my unborn baby. I saw and felt hurt like I never knew possible. But, with a new year comes a chance of a new
