Today started out uneventful. I awoke at 5AM (as usual) and watched 'Castle' which had been recorded from the night before. I drank three cups of coffee, woke my brother to wish him happy birthday, and got ready for work. No big deal. Even the car ride to Canton was uneventful, despite the fact I went with three very bright ladies.1
The meeting started promptly at 9AM. It was in a large building with a nice green staircase, with pictures all along the walls. Jon, who is in charge of Adult Ed, said the building had been around since 1926 and that there's a graveyard from the Cival War behind it. I was thrilled at the idea, but doubted I would be able to walk there.2
At lunch, after biting into a few fries, sipping a diet coke, and eating half of a really large sandwich, I decided to go for a walk with the full-time instructor at Gilmer, Libby.3
The chill of autumn hung in the air, yet the sun was still brilliant, illuminating everything around us, and it felt divine. I walked along the graveyard, cellphone in hand, filming and taking pictures when I could.4
It was fascinating, looking at them. Some had flags to the sides, representing soldiers who fought and died valiantly either in the Civil War or the World War. Some were babies when they died. Some were unmarked. Some were in the sun. Some were in the shadows. All of them, though, made me feel cold...as if I were truly on sacred ground.5
I know I will never forget this day. It was definitely worth writing about.

Graveyards can be interesting
My wife and I visited Al Capone's grave in north chicago long ago he is buried close to many he had killed.
Also in Boston the headstones are about an inch thick and have insriptionns that contain the winged deathhead: a skull with wings.
One has the inscription:
"Oh, passerby do not laugh at me
For as I am now you soon will be." -
Is this the beginning to an awesome story or what? Though I can't tell if this is a real life experience (and thats a good thing) means that you are good at weaving stories
