What I've been up to.

So I feel like a rant.  Yes I'll get my contests judged soon.  Just blah blah in my brain right now.  Anyways.1

There will be a hefty reward if someone can help me find my muse.  Purdy please?  I want to write a book on the end of the world.  For reals.  Anyone have any good nature inspiration?  I need more than my backyard right now.2

Um.  School.  Senior year of the IB program is going okay.  I have amazing teachers (for once).  I have the same teacher (Mr. Carstenn) for both English and TOK.  TOK = Theory of Knowledge.  Yes I have a class called that.  And yes yes it is required by the IB program.  And yes yes yes it is the absolute bee's knees.  Oh, and Mr. Carstenn is the bee's knees himself.  I swear he's stuck in Woodstock or something.  He doesn't really have a real American flag, so every morning we have him, we pledge allegiance to his giant hippie flag (instead of stars, there's a peace sign).  And he's got tyedye paintings and parrots and Jimmy Buffet and the Beatles and Ray Bradbury all over his room.  He usually dresses in tyedye or island/Hawaii-ish shirts and sandals and flare-ish jeans.  And he's got long grey hair he usually braids or puts in a ponytail sort of thing.  Oh and he likes me because he wants me to teach E.E. Cummings to the class at some point.
I'm struggling in Spanish, but at least I like the teacher.  And math is going great.  I'm taking a class called Math Studies.  It's pretty much Statistics and Trig and Algebra I all mixed into one.  Easy peasy lemon squeezey.3

Band.  Where do I start?  I'm clarinet section leader this year (huzzah!) and that's been going good because everyone in my section is pretty chill.  Sometimes they can't play worth a crap but at least they have a good attitude, right?  The show's going well; we got some superiors yesterday at our band competition.  Heh.  I couldn't stay for the awards though.  That's another story in itself.4

I got carted away from the competition in an ambulance!    Heat exhaustion.  The people in the ambulance told me that a.) I wasn't sweating even though it was almost a 100F degree day outside, b.) my core temperature was around 102.3, and c.) I had used up every single sugar molecule left inside my body.  Not to mention I was slurring my words and wobbling around like I was drunk.  They had to put an IV drip in me (eeek hate hate hate needles, I used the last two drops of water inside me to cry while they did it).  But everyone at the hospital was nice.  They hooked me up to machines and when I had to go to the bathroom, they unhooked me but let all these wires hang out of me hahaha.  They gave me orange juice and a ventriloquism show (the xray guy was weird but a real hoot).  And my mom, who was bawling her eyeballs out the entire time, knew I was getting better when I turned my head around, started staring at my heart and breathing monitor, and started moving around and breathing funny just to make the lines go up and down in different patterns.  I actually started the machine beeping frantically.  A nurse poked her head in to check, but my mom was just like 'She's feeling better; she learned how to play with her machine', and the nurse did a facepalm and went away.5

Um, and I also apparently have a urinary tract infection.  Mom made sure to tell me that this is a normal part of woman hood and maybe I should start seeing a 'uhh uhh female doctor'.  'Oh, like a gyno?'  'x__________x'6

And also also, apparently I've been living with a weird heart rhythm my entire life.  So I need to see a specialist about that.  It's not life threatening but it's good to know about it.  7

So yeah.  There's my life rant.  Read as you wish.  8

  • If I think of more things (which I probably will), I'll publish them as a sequel.  Help me think of things I'd want to do! 1 1. Go to New York and find the Cash Cab.  Absolutely number one priority here. 2. Go to the beach and actually like it. 3. Live on a farm.  Raise chickens again. 4. Go to

  • I found a book in my room that I bought a month ago called Betwixt by Tara Bray Smith.  I'm currently reading it, and it's really good.  It's about magic and fairies and whatnot, but not in the cliche sort of way.  I think it's awesome. 1 After I'm done reading Bextwixt , I have two other book

  • I know it doesn't seem like it.  I say I'm going to read my favorites more often, but I just disappear again.  My muse is quieter, but she's thinking.  More insightful, I suppose. 1 I'm going through my groups and favorites and clearing them out.  Whoever I don't read or talk to anymore, I'm
