The national anthem should be sung at all pep rallies. Especially the homecoming pep rally right? Wrong. Apparently the school things “I gotta feeling” is better then the national anthem. And the national anthem would be too much of a “downer” to the pep rally. People in chorus wait their whole high school career to get to sing the national anthem in front of the school that’s like, the captain of the football team of the music geeks. Why completely smash their dreams? Just so that its not a downer on our beat the warriors rally? Downer my ass. Also apparently it’s more important to have school spirit then national spirit? So is it okay for me to by pass the pledge of allegiance in the morning? Hello, school board, with out the nation there is no school. I guess I can let you off the hook because you did show some national spirit by playing, “party in the USA”. NOT. That’s kind of ridiculous; Miley Cyrus doesn’t get put in place of the star spangled banner. Get over it Pep rally coordinator. And next time tell the excited chorus girls who worked their butts off to get it right ahead of time that their part has been cut. You should have sung the national anthem. End of story.
