You know. There is nothing wrong with rave music. Seriously people. What's your problem? Whenever I hear rave music, I think of the past. I begin to reverie, I reminisce, I jam, I dance, I enjoy. I become a better person. Rave is the essence of 'quality'... its the mainstream err to pop culture and celebrity lifestyles that deduced people's brains. If you don't listen, then awesome, no harm intended. Funkytown is a gnarly song, it is the merit of excellence, the epitome of funk! It can swing anybody into a good mood. Made in Two Minutes, bodacious jungle n' bass, copacetic rhythm; the perfect disco song! Yet perhaps, less then 11% of the worlds population, heard it. (UK remix of Prodigy song; Bug Kann & Plastic Jam). Now, people who say Grime and 2step are stupefyingly obnoxious, I agree, but Dubstep, hohoho, is like the virtuoso of low profile, the anthem of the underground. It's so nice and slick, it's apt enough, to be rave enough, I say. Though Dubstep is a genre of Garage music. It's real diverse... it possesses a fey, sort of commodious atmosphere to it, a friendly impugning. Just listen to Samurai 9 by Kode 9 & Spaceape, or just any etude of Burial's. Like I was saying, rave is bliss, rave is movement! Don't believe me? Too much controversy, too short to draw conclusions? I'm not exigent throughout any of this. So, if you feel like asking me a question then go ahead, I won't bite.

Rave music? I never really gave it a good listen. A good chunk of my friends live for Rave and Techno/Dance music.
I do love the song Funkytown. That's a jamming song.
Since you are into dancing music, you might like Jamiroquai. Their stuff is pretty modern, but still has that disco feel.
