Painting No. 2

Okay, this is the most recent painting.  I'm not sure if it's finished yet... so if I change it I'll post new pictures. 1

(I really thought I was going to have to scrap it, lots of things had be changed and I'm just not sure I like it.)2

I like it... your colours are vivid, personally, I'd change the section that is yellow, and make it preferably green or else pink Much like your other painting, the green really emphasises the colour of your subject...I just think the yellow clashes, thus spoiling the balance in it... just my opinions, I have liked both the ones you have displayed... Thanks very much for sharing

I think the technique gives a dimensional quality to the leaves and flower petals, which reminds me of the appearance to the eye or the camera lens and eye...an iridescence, a sense of depth. I could say Gauguin, Van Gogh because the art I usually see is in a book of famous masters , but i know what I like, and I like this...PK

very smart composition ... it has a liveliness to it but not a busy kind of liveliness .. I love the shape of the flower and leaves area, the way it curves down at lower right, up at upper left and out at right border ... you've studied how composition and lines work ... probably

    very impressed

i have lived with painters and artists and they are never happy with their stuff and they sit around and rework it and ruin it ... most learn to have a friend 'drop by' every day or so 'for a cup of coffee' somebody who knows about art and 'remove' paintings that are in danger of being overworked by the artist ... I used to confiscate a friends paintings for him ... it was fun ... keep yer mits off this one

    artists!!

    okie doakie?

Its your art,Ann,youll always find something you dont like...i personally think its great...its really pretty and i cant see anything that would require change...but if you the artist want to add something then go for it. Very beautiful.
