Day is over

Here I go again. It is 4:30 pm and the aches and pains of the day are starting. It is hell getting old as your body now says, "OK the day is over. Don't think you are going out an dpaint the town; as I have plans for you." THere was a time the day was over and my ight would begin. Home to shower and wash the day away and then out on the town. A good meal, a few drinks, and then oam the streets and see just what was going on. It was a nice time, it was a safe time, not a thing to fear, but fear yourself for perhaps drinking too much. The ladies were nice, but the mornings were so cruel. Anyway, I now take a war shower, put on some ben-gay, and watch the tv or listen to Sanatra and Bennet sing the songs of times past. I love them, but I am no longer wired for 2 20s and I may be as good as I once was (know the song) but only good once.

    I know the feeling. I never came home and went out on the town, but I remember well the days when my body didn't creak and complain. I could stay up later, get up earlier ... even eat wild and hot food. Not any more.
    My dog leads a more exciting existence. She can't enjoy poetry though.

  • Been Gone A Long Time
    It has been months since I have posted anything. Mu muse is sound asleep or on a vacation; i have now written a line in weeks. I spend more time sleeping now. All the heart meds I take now, put me in slumbe-land. all in all I guess that is OK. Take care, be careful, and enjoy life.

  • Hello ALL
    Our personal PC has burned lighting. Can be repaired, but cost too much. So I will be using a public pc at the library; whenever. Consequently, my stay here at AP will be seldom.

    I will not be here for few days, maybe even a week. I am fighting a really bad cold and the meds. make me a bit off the real world. So decided to stay away, and not read or roam and not be ugly to anyone here. I am just going to read and watch TV, Take care all, see u later; I hope.

  • Oh Boy
    A Giant Egret has landed in our back yard and has been here for two days. What a beautiful bird. The wife and I are trying to figrue out what to do. THere is a Wildlife Rescue near us, we will give a call and see what can be done in the mean time we are enjoying the visit. It is simply admazing!!
