Goodbye Baby Ava

Today has been a sad day and I felt myself wanting to write something poetic but the words just would not come.1

You see today we said goodbye to the beautiful baby daughter of my cousin and his partner. After a normal pregnancy with no complications, little baby Ava died 20 minutes into her mothers labour on Sunday. It was a further 29 hours before she finally gave birth to an almost 9lb, perfect little angel with a big mop of dark hair.2

Needless to say we are all heartbroken, not only that little Ava will never grow up with us, her family, but for her parents, my wonderful cousin, a big gentle giant and his lovely partner, both of whom were so looknig forward to being parents. 3

I find it hard to say what I want to at the minute. Ava's little coffin, so timy in her father and his brothers large hands is sticking in my mind, along with the image of her face that haunted me last night as I tried to catch up on 3 nights with no sleep.4

Still our precious little angel did not suffer and shall never have to face a life on this earth where she may have had to face fear and evil and all the other nasty things that plague our everyday lives.5

Rest in piece beautiful one for we shall never forget you and no-one shall ever replace you. You entered our lives for such a short while but shall remain in our hearts forever.
