I'm bored.

I recently found out about the existence of a site called "twitter", i think it's a fabulous way of sharing your thoughts with other people. But I'm not very good at restricting myself to just a few words, so I thought I'd start my own journal. Finally. I've been meaning to do this for a while now but I never actually did because I was too lazy. I used to write a diary but I haven't for years. I got kinda bored with that. So maybe keeping a journal will be more fun.1

Summer break has just started for me on Thursday, and I have too much time on my hands. I am bored. I should be tidying up my room but I'm too bored to even start doing that. I'm listening to music all day, I hardly do anything else. Yay Hillsong! 2

I wonder if anyone reads these journals anyway... LOL

After months or, at least, weeks, of AP abstinence I found out about this here journal by you... So, I jut wanted to drop a few lines concerning your "teacher" wish. I understand what they said about your being "too intelligent" for being a teacher (I am one myself, so...). I think danger is that you're easily disappointed since the task is about more than just passing on the knowledge itself. Many a teacher is too frustrated for he hasn't kept pace with nowadays' youth. It's a lot of paperwork too and includes many nightshifts not only in the beginning. But working with the kids is fine as long as you don't reduce the job to parrot games ("I say/ you repeat"). Greez Götz

Thank you, Götz, for your comment regarding my "teacher" wish, I appreciate it a lot! I realized I only have one more year until I'm out of school, then I'll have to decide what I'm going to do for the next decades of my life... And I can use all advice I can get! So, thanks again, you made a few interesting points. Welcome back to AP, I hope all is well with you!

After a structured school year, summer break can seem stressful just because you don't have to do much of anything. I totally get that boredom can slip in and grab you. If you have any idea of what the next school year will require, maybe you could do something toward that???

    lol

LOL, I've been thinking the same... Actually, I have to finish my paper on Chernobyl I probably told you about a million times by the end of the holidays
And I have this "quirk" that my history folder (collection of everything we've done in history class since year seven) needs to be neatly in order, and all headlines written in the same colour and stuff like that... I guess it'll take me the entire summer break to finish my work on that!

  • That's what holidays are for Chill out and enjoy

By the way, have I ever asked you in which part of Australia you live? And in case you're wondering... That question came to my mind when thinking of Hillsong Australia. LOL

          Coolness!
So once I make it to Australia (been wanting to go there for quite a while now) - to to Sydney to be more specific... to Hillsong Church... (haha, you're now probably thinking I'm totally nuts! ), anyway... once I get there, I may as well come over for a visit, right?

          • Ahh Hillsong Church Or I could meet you in Sydney My daughter lives there

I've read all kinds of both positive and negative comments about Hillsong, so I want to gain my own experience by attending a few of their services once I get the chance. No matter what anyone says though, I love their music.

I need to finish school first and figure out what to do afterwards. Recently, I heard of this organization called "Watoto" http://www.watoto.com/
They're looking for volunteers to work on their projects, I'll keep praying about this and hope the Lord will show me what He wants me to do once I've finished school... Moving to another country? Staying here? Traveling around the world? Going to university? Being a missionary? (Seriously!) Teacher? What else?

              Wow, so many questions.

Don't know if I told you... Recently, I took some kind of test on what my future job should be, and oh my gosh! They told me I'm (maybe) too intelligent to become a teacher! Imagine that!
