Michael Joseph Jackson was an inspiration to the world. Not only did he make good music and perform awesome concerts but he was also an activist for human rights. His songs told a story of humanity he made us all stop and look at the "Man in the Mirror". He told us it didn't matter if we were "Black or White" we were all people. He was an AIDS activist and immortalized the young Ryan White in a song and video. (If it wasn't for Ryan White many people would not be getting the care and services we are getting now!! This is through Ryan White funding). He knew that young man was special back then. He let us know that "WE are the world" by leading the AIDS in Africa cause. Michael was more than a man he was a movement and life was not so kind to him. From childhood he was beat into stardom. Once a star the media, critics and comics beat him to a pulp until he literally had no more to give. Call him a pedophile (never proven) a Wacko Jacko or whatever you wish. But don't deny the man was influential and touching to so many. Simply put he was "BAD". May you finally find the peace you spent your whole life seeking. Rest well!!!

Death has been all around us these last few days. 2 great idols in one day...crazy!!! Hopefully he may now rest in peace. There will never be another like him; no one will ever be able to top his success. He was a legend of our time and I hope thats how people will remember him as; not as some child molester etc. Yes, he was different...but thats what made him such a success. People hate or fear what they cannot understand. He was unique! And again, there will never be another Michael for years to come. I have yet to see anyone do what he has done. He would have grown people cry at his concerts, he made us smile listening to his songs from the past, and still have people trying to moonwalk. RIP Michael!

Too true.. RIP Michael. His spirit influenced more than one generation and now it's their turn to make sure it lives on and keep fighting.
Very nice tribute. -

Excellent!!!
My friend this was an Awesome tribute to Michael.
I personally love Michael Jackson to death.
I've had countless debates over him as a person.
I always believed in Michaels greatness both as
a person and entertainer. He was truly a blessing
to a cold and callous world of mutants who never
was able to understand his genius and deep love
for humanity. I know in my heart of hearts that
Michael never did any of the things he was accused
of. May his memory be forever blessed in the earth.
We will miss you greatly Michael but never ever forget you.
Long live the music and spirit of a Awesome and gentle gaint. -

Thanks for your reply, he was very gentle with a childlike spirit that no one ever really understood. They couldn't understand why a man would do such child like things and want to be around children but he told us "Have you seen my Childhood" it was lost and he spent his life trying to find it, he sacrificed it first for his dad then for the rest of the world and we loved every minute of it! thank you Michael, for all of your sacrifices to make us sing, dance and jump around even cry, thank you and RIP!

He accomplished so much, so much that no one in this world would ever be able to even fathom. He was a man of mystery and intrigue and that is what made him so desirable...plus he was just Bad!!!

That is the most important thing, no one is immortal but what we leave here is so important, I want people to live the life that will allow them to leave a mark on someone's heart after they are gone...no matter our troubles (we all have them) we have to contribute something to society. And Michael did just that! I can't believe he is gone I'm still in shock I loooked forward to seeing him perform again even if it was on tv. thank you for reading!

I have an album with the original Michael Jackson ... the album "Ben". I fell in love with that voice. I fell in love with that little boy's face. I guess we'll never know why he felt the need to change it. It was a wonderful face. But his oddities have over-shadowed his talent and he was a great talent. He could sing, dance, act ... write, and he put on an amazing show.
My thoughts about him and children is that he #1, surrounded himself with children to try and re-capture his own childhood; a childhood he never had because he started singing and recording at such an early age.
#2: he was such a giving, caring person. Because of what his own childhood lacked, I think he wanted to give love to children. The way he went about it was perhaps not appropriate because he was an adult. I don't think he was a pedophile. Our society frowns on physical contact of any kind between adults and children... The world didn't realize he was still a child himself in most ways. I am sad on the one hand, and tear up when I hear his voice announcing to fans that this concert would be his last. On the other hand, now he is at peace ... I rejoice for that. -

I completly agree with your views on him and kids. He wanted kids especially those that were sick to enjoy all life had to offer before they were to join our Father in heaven. The neverland ranch was created for him but he shared with kids all the time. He had his childhood stolen from him to sacrifice to entertain us and what we do? Ridicule him for not liking himself. Thbe things his father did and said to him had a lasting affect and no one took that into account. That's why he vahnged his face when your own dad says your pimply face is ugly and your nose is big and ugly how is he supposed to feel. I feel he wanted to become the exact opposite of what he was to be accepted by his dad. This of course us speculation but my opinion nonetheless. RIP.

I do believe he is finally at peace. Now let's hope the world is kinder to his kids than it ever was to him. I loved his music from the first moment I heard it. Had much respect for him and the gift God gave him to perform as he did. As for his personal life, I did not know him personally so I can't say what went on in it. Neither can the massive amount of other people who help to make him miserable. And miserable I do believe for a time he was. But, alas all his suffering has come to an end and tonight he's doing the moonwalk before God who I'm sure is enjoying the show. May he rest in peace. This world will truly miss him.

You are so very right. I am so so sad for his family his parents and kids. Parents should never bury their child. No matter what people say MJ was the Super of stars there would be no Beyonce' Chris Brown, Neo, Omarion, even Justin Timberlake, or even his own sister Janet if Mike would not have paved the way. His songs were the soundtrack to my and everyone over 30's lives. Even Ludacris and Jay Z were inspiried by this man. Who wasn't who wasn't influenced by the event that was Michael Jackson!! He touched me in life and in his death Mike was the truth! No one will ever be able to even fathom touching what he made possible. Thank u MJ. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world at all the costs it cost you!!

Thank u for reading. I had to write something. I mean his music was the soundtrack to my life. From beat it to thriller and beyond. But more importantly is his works for humanity. He loved all the simple things in life no matter how extravagant he was portrayed. He loved amusement parks and all the things he missed while being beat into an entertainer that's what people didn't understand. Thanks for reading. I know we all have to go sometime. But this just is really a sad day.

Hey everyone. I thought I would drop a line to let you know what is going on with me. I took a brief hiatus from the site and from writing in general to clear my mind. I had a lot of resting to do and had to get my batteries recharged. The poems written here by me, are very painful and this site reminded me of thaton May 28 12:40 PM, In My life, Newness, Personal thoughts, Real time, Sharing. 500 words. → 3 comments, Add one?
