It had begun as an ordinary, normal day. It really had. The sun had come up, burned through curtains and into eyelids. The birds had sung obnoxious songs of awakening. The alarm clock had let out a bleeful beep that sounded like it had a drip in its battery. She had got up out of bed, remorsefully, and gotten into her uniform. She had brushed her teeth until they pretended they were yellow. She had even managed to inhale an apple and washed it down with some orange juice. Nothing unusual here.6
The morning held no foreboding or warning of the tradgedy that would take place. For little did Valerie Roscoe know, she was going to die today, a painful and slow death. Further more, she did not know she'd awaken in not only the arms of an angel, but also a demon. She could never have predicted that she'd wake up a prisoner, trapped somewhere between heaven and hell.7
The battle for her soul had begun. The war between angels and demons reignited.8
