story thing March 9th 1861 (part one)

March 9th 1861.
Dear journal
Winter had just passed the snow has now melted. But a chill still hung in the air. The time of year had come to perform the Witch hunts. Threw out the winter those accused had been taken into custody. And on the full moon of the month each year they would release the accused into the forest to be slathered. Truthfully I don’t know why it’s continued but the legend goes with witches’ blood the fields will grow. I never took any of this in mind or even watched until the day Clarita was accused. I remember it quite faintly. It was 12 of February I went out to her parent’s house to visit her. I reached the path way to the front door people with torches and one man holding her by her hair. Voices screaming Witch Witch! Tears where falling down her face and a few cutt marks across her arms and legs and neck. I knew she had fought them; making it seem more like she was guilty. All I remember after that was her screaming my name over and over again as I tried to get to her. This image and date still ring threw my head. I still haven’t figured out a plan to save her before the full moon this year it lands 6 days away. The 15th of March. 1

Dear diary
It’s been so long since I have seen the sunlight it’s so dark and cold I don’t know what time it is. They treat us like nothing I finally got a notebook of paper but no ink. So I’m writing with my blood I can’t write much because I still need my blood and it kind of hurts to be cutting to get it. Well I just wanted to say how I was and to tell you I’m still alive. Im so scared its only 6 days away will they kill me? No ones escaped in the 46 years of this hunt. Can you really save me Jelie please say you can. 2

March 9th –61
Six more days and the witches will be realised. In this years hunt there are 16 witches. If anyone is found protecting or trying to free these accused will be killed as well. There are 8 young men trained to face these dangerous creatures to their deaths or the deaths of those to whom they have been assigned to slay. All residents must report to the court year at 19:00h for the ceremony and release meant of the witches. Then by 19:59 must return to their homes and stay there till the fallowing day at 11:00h.
