One day they will see

I have never stood up for things I thought were right and have never taken action on things I thought were wrong. Until a few weeks ago. I wrote and editorial and had it published in my local paper. It was about Child Abuse and at the end I asked for anyone to write me with their opinions. My goal of this editorial was to get community support in starting up a Crisis Nursery for Abused Children. Needless to say I had no luck. It has been 3 or 4 weeks since it hit the paper and I've yet to hear from anyone. But it is kind of funny how people will get up and address issues and say something needs to be done about it and never do anything. And when someone likes me takes a step to address the issue and stop it they won't even offer a helping hand or the slightest encouragement. I don't really know why I am writing this I just felt like putting it out there. Because I think one day they will see this could have made a difference if they had just tried to put forth and effort. And I was thinking people wonder why children don't tell anyone when they are being abused its because like I just proved it is a waste of breathe until someone stands up and does something about it.
