I transcribed poetry for the Government of Tangiers, Arts and Culture and the poem, "I Love You" rung bells with me because it reminded me of those beautiful arabic poems I had to wound to put into absolutely perfect English phrases and connotations.
I had friends in India, a Principal of a Christian school, and we wrote back and forth over the years. He spoke of his mother and, as her health deteriorated, he spoke often of her spirt. One day, a letter cam, "My mother has gien up her ghost!" How perfectly appropriate a way to describe her death!
Do not let others take that beautiful Indian expression from your poetry.
I have enoyed and will visit again to enjoy more!
