I wrote my first poem when I was seven, I have been writing ever since but have dry spells that can last a long time. Severe arthritis closed me down for a long time. A knee replacment has allowed me to awaken from a long sleep and I have had a rebirth. Many people have contributed to this awakening but the main person was a wonderful man God sent to me when I took my first baby steps to a new life and went to Italy. He told me I could do anything I wanted to. I was afraid and forgot how to live! My life is now changed forever and I love life. I am closer to God and going through a total Renaissance in my life. The creative energy is fantastic. Hope this didn't bore you but what happened to me is a miracle.

I love poetry and words. My motto is 'None of us are going to get out of this alive' which is a line said by Evel Knievel when they asked him why he was a dare-devil! (type his name in google to know more.) I am a 70 year old free spirit.

Does anything bloom in the garden as of yet? Does the snow relent for want of spade upon the frosty ground? Ah, dear Jane, I dream of flowers at your feet!

    My dear Jane,
I have come to this place to poke on shoulders and shake hands. I cannot leave without bringing you a Valentine greeting... for it is this day that you come to mind every year. I think it is your capacity for romance woven through your work as well as the experience of love gained and lost and found in the world which you convey so well with your pen that has always brought my eyes to your words. I see you have lost none of these things. Your works remain powerful and vibrant. May the garden bloom brilliantly in the spring!
