Yeah, I know... I'm not writing these days. Not because of an epic case of writers block, not because of apathy, not because of losing my muse. Purely a matter of time management and not enough hours in a day (or even week or month!).
As a busy husband (about to celebrate our 21st anniversary), father of two teenage girls, owner of three horses and the owner of a seven year old consulting company, seems I barely have time to sleep.
So anyway, kwitcher bitchin, I'll write again when I have enough free time to do something more constructive that tie my shoes or blow my nose!
Who is this mysterious man called jabberwocky? Well, obviously a Lewis Carrol fan, I suppose you can start there. From the time I was very young, I was intrigued by the very adult, very psychedelic nature of Through the Looking Glass. How it got turned into a children's story, I'm not quite sure, because if you read the original, it's anything but.
The actual jabberwocky poem itself, sort of a poem within a larger story, is an interesting piece, where Carrol made up words, gibberish, if you will, and used them in a very clear, descriptive manner to tell his tale. That's me, I suppose, made up of a lot of unusual parts, but when you put them all together, they somehow make sense (well, I like to think they do anyway).
While I've been a writer for a long time, I've never considered poetry until a dear friend led me to this site, to read her work. Once here, I registered, and started writing. I've come to find that I don't have much tolerance for paying attention to form and meter, and all that stuff, but I'm having fun writing, and this poetry thing is becoming an important release for me, creatively speaking.
I'm basically a hopeless romantic, and much of my writing clearly tells that tale, of love, life, the pursuit of happiness, of finding my place in the world, and of those I love and care for. However, there's also a bit of a pervert in me, and I do have a taste for both reading and writing erotica. My favorite erotica tends to be understated and implied, rather than direct and explicit, although some of my erotic short stories do get very graphic, and are not for the faint of heart.
At any rate, that's the nickel tour inside my head. If there's anything else, you'll have to ask me on your own.
Thanks for stopping by my page.
