-
Sweet touch departs
The seas come between
-
Sad songs echo in empty halls
No ears left to hear their tune
-
Glowing blood red and inviting me in
With trepidation let my journey begin
-
Scintillate Scintillate miniscule celestial rock
I wondrously ponder you in shock
-
Seeing the world through artist eyes
Spilling out tears in heartfelt sighs
-
A warm blanket that fits just right
Peaceful as snowflakes in the night
-
Ripping red rose from dry earth
Sure it is his right from birth
-
Far to the east the new dawn sun rose
It’s glow shown on the branches it chose
-
Whispered words coast across my confused mind
Thoughts to express them I’m trying to find
-
The daily trials cut my goals like a knife
Impatient for the effects of this new life
-
Majestic oaks standing tall
Whispered wind enticing all
-
The ground is marbled green and white
Shrugging off darkness is the night
-
Uncomfortable in my own skin
Tortured emotions through my mind spin
-
Perched on the sharp precipice of pain
Lost in the thoughts of what is to gain
-
Please please tell me now
Quick before you take your bow
-
What is it about me that you hate?
Why do you sit and curse your fate?
-
There amongst cigarette butts haphazardly strewn
God found his way into the frigid afternoon
-
Bending over to smell the sweet rose
I bent way too far and squished my nose
-
Off in the distance a solid speck
Sailing open waters on its trek
-
Fated lovers we have become
Despite the angry words of some
-
Smelling the sweet fragrance of success
No longer wearing the sly wolves dress
-
Sun beating down upon my upturned face
God has given me a safe healing place
-
Waking to the awesome glory of God
Not needing to put on any false façade
-
A cold storm brewing gaining power
Strengthening intensity by the hour
-
Happiness is not mine to have
Although God is my healing salve
-
Black turns to silver as daylight dawns
Nighttime stars turned into day’s pawns
-
Light as a feather my soul now soars free
No longer cluttered with evil drug debris
-
Watching the memories float in a dream
Visions so horrific one can only scream
-
From the skies comes a daisy spore
Settles into the earth for all to adore
-
I am a brave soldier…
Living thousands of miles from home
-
I stand awe struck by the great power of Him
Thankfulness fills my soul to the very brim
-
Swirling like a cyclone, blowing away sanity
Tortured decisions of the past, stealing vanity
-
This is a poem written by my 10 year old son, who has discovered that girls are rather nice.
When I gaze into your eyes
-
Numbers accumulate of the dying and dead
We cringe at the coldness that fills with dread
-
One day walking down a nefarious winding path
Trying my hardest to get befuddled by nature’s wrath
