Seashells crunching under feet
Sun glowing red over the sea -
Passion for life has faded away
Whispered words of sorrow fill each day -
Warm spring breeze cleanse my sorrow
Never knowing what will be tomorrow -
Warming the day with sunny smiles
Echoes of laughter fill the air -
Oily night slithers around
Warping words of sorrow -
Bright white memories linger around
Singing sweetly their happy sound -
It has absorbed tears of sorrow and pain
Felt fire hot blood of those who were slain -
Rain falls upon the mountaintop
Creating a river without stop -
Drinking life in tasty little sips
Dreaming of kissing sweet lovers lips -

Cleanse my spirit and my soul -
Spring has now come into full bloom
Still I cannot escape this gloom -
Grateful today for all I have earned
Ever so slowly tables have turned -
Spring has finally sprung
and refreshed my view -
Stuck inside emotions are blocked
Now my pen is helplessly locked -
God has blessed us with joy today
A beautiful baby entered the world -
Physically and mentally drained
All my past sins loudly prattle -
Sitting alone wanting to cry
Asking myself the question why -
Nestled near the river that always flows
Aching writer sat admiring the views -
Grateful to be where I am today
Evil demons have all had their say -
Taste the nectar of sweat pear
Catch the answer to each prayer -
Carrying the weight of sad past
Forward movement just will not last -
A symphony of birdsong greeted warm day
Variety of species having their say -
My reflection stares back from the broken mirror
Distorted pieces staring from shards of broken mirror -
Waves crashing upon broken shore
Keeping alive things done before -
Spring sky above is cloudy and gray
Dulling the colors of early day -
On two separate shores true lovers stand
They reach for each other with outstretched hand -
