I’m sure you saw my eyes light up
when you talked to me.
-
Beauty is held in the hands of the One who is of beauty.
-
Sprouting head from unknown seed,
seems like wheat, actually a weed.
-
I. Wild Child
Wild child, I go on,
-
The Way seemed to have lost His path,
nailed to a rugged cross.
-
My head in my hands, life on the floor, all because I wanted more.
-
If you could see me, look into my eyes. You could see I know what it means to die.
-
Brightest ring ‘round the moon,
love song sung in clearest tune.
-
Fingers, remember your strength, grasping His truth’s sword.
-
Faithful in my age of breaking, He is giving and I’m taking. Ever present in my time of need, gently holding this bruised reed.
-
Heart feeling like a rocky road,
Seems my life’s in overload.
-
I can’t look at You straight in the eye.
Your beauty is far too great for me.
-
I turned to man, but he was silent,
with no help to offer me.
-
I draw near to those who love, those who walk My path.
-
With much learning comes much sorrow.
What I know I have swallowed.
-
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"--John 14:6
-
Barely tasting a simple breath,
gone is she now from this life.
-
Feeling my own age
in the quandary of time.
-
Verse:
Run from the day, from the light,
-
He held a torch, burning high and holy.
He looked at me, being His object only.
-
I am me, all I see. There is nothing else.
I decide to leave my ego on a dusty shelf.
-
Born as a baby in a humble cave,
this Hand of God came to what He made.
-
I asked for things I did not have, even the good that were really bad.
-
I can’t evade what I’ve made- my own darkness seems to raid.

Held within my lonely hand the thing that seeks to hold me. It means to make me a better man and to set me free.
-
Verse:
So many things I think about when I see Your face.
-
Left from the right the sword cleaves asunder.
Rightly dividing the word of truth his work is God’s wonder.

Verse:
Once in a lifetime, you’re given the power
-
The clock ticks. I see it in my face.
I am out of breath in this dreaded race.
-
Out of the lives of men’s children, You heal what was torn.
-
Fear not, brother; be comforted,
Though your friend is gone in death.
-
Take me from faith far beyond.
Make my heart like Your Son’s.
-
Eternal Echo burning bright, Resounding with a gracious light.
-
So very slow on the uptake, I wanna hit my life’s brakes.
