What's up everyone, I'm Meg. Many people here know me for what I have been, for what I can be, but mostly for what I'm not. My world has been flipped upside down and turned inside out multiple times since I first joined allpoetry.com. If you are on my friends, you may notice that I haven't written anything new in awhile, sorry, but I have like zero time anymore.
I want to give a shoutout to my band. Well not rock band, but my school's marching band. These kids and I have worked side by side for months through hot and cold weather, and we have killed ourselves to perfect one show, eight minutes, to the best of our ability. I am the drum major this year, but that only matters on the field and in leadership. We are all equal, we're a family and these people mean the world to me. PLUS! Our band was the Colorado 3A state marching champions!!!!!! First time in 17 years!!! I'm SOOOO proud! (and yes Kokoluvsdaniel, you're part of that, as if you didn't know! I LOVE YOU!)
Also, I feel that I have changed my mind set a lot since May. As many people may know, my town was hit by a tornado about a mile wide on May 22, 2008. (Windsor, CO) This tornado destroyed much of our town, thankfully not my house, it was a little under a mile away, but it pulled us together as a town. It made me think (connecting back to the marching show) about how everything is overrated. Our theme for marching band this year was the Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech, Freedom from Want, Freedom to Worship, and Freedom from Fear. All of those can be related to the tornado.
This is also where I can mention any "spread this if"s... but I'm not going to. If it takes me posting that I'm pro-choice, or for gay marriage, or I'm not straight edge, or that I know someone who died of cancer, or any of that to make someone want to read my work, then I don't want you to read my work. If you want to talk about my beliefs, ROCK ON!, then message me!
But until then, I'm going to continue surviving the way I am.

Sweets I miss seein ya online & chattin withcha but I must say its been a pleasure havin you as my ap daughter 
you're 18 now and have a great busy life ahead of you. you're as beautiful as you can be inside and out and I want to bestow a little confidence in you: Never give up on yourself no matter how hard times get and never quit because the day you quit is the day depression and oh so much more comes and ruins your life. rmember though Sweets we may never get to meet in perosn and well we may lose contact *sighs at that thought* but just remember your ap daddy will always love and care abouty you as f you wer emy own daughter ( though I know for a fact I never will have one ). any ways stay strong and remember your mum and I from ap here are always on your side and we love you lots.
